Nothing better explains Germany's demise than the comparison with Switzerland. Switzerland has much higher salaries and a stronger currency, yet it keeps growing and its industry thrives while German industrial production implodes. The reason is simple, Swiss productivity keeps rising, holding labor costs stable. In Germany, salaries rise without productivity growth, making products more expensive. No one in Europe works fewer hours than the Germans. They no longer value hard work and productivity. Instead, they listen to populists offering simple solutions, left redistribution and "tax the rich" nonsense, or the far-right blaming immigrants for everything. It starts with values and mindset. Either Germans start working hard again, or they will keep losing the prosperity the world once admired.

Concordo com a parte factual:
"Nothing better explains Germany's demise than the comparison with Switzerland. Switzerland has much higher salaries and a stronger currency, yet it keeps growing and its industry thrives while German industrial production implodes. The reason is simple, Swiss productivity keeps rising, holding labor costs stable."
Quanto ao resto tenho de discordar:
"In Germany, salaries rise without productivity growth, making products more expensive.
No one in Europe works fewer hours than the Germans. They no longer value hard work and productivity. Instead, they listen to populists offering simple solutions, left redistribution and "tax the rich" nonsense, or the far-right blaming immigrants for everything.
It starts with values and mindset. Either Germans start working hard again, or they will keep losing the prosperity the world once admired."
O resto fez-me lembrar dois textos:
- "Actualizem o documento por favor." de 2009
- "Acerca da produtividade, mais uma vez (parte I)" de 2011
- "sic gloria transit" de 2017
- "Curiosidade do dia" de 2026
ULC = Custo do trabalho por hora / Produção por hora
Nesta equação, não esquecer que a produção por hora pode aumentar porque se produziu mais quantidade, ou porque o que se produziu tem um valor acrescentado maior. Esta segunda hipótese é praticamente ignorada por quem aborda o tema da produtividade.
