"German companies spend on average around six percent of their sales on bureaucratic costs. This is the result of a survey by the Munich Ifo Institute, in which 437 managers were interviewed in May this year and which, however, has only now been published. Almost four out of five companies therefore hire external service providers to cope with the bureaucratic burden. The effort is therefore particularly high for reporting and information obligations, as well as for documentation and reporting obligations. The survey makes it clear how great the dissatisfaction on the part of entrepreneurs is - also about the lack of implementation of long-known proposals. Many of the entrepreneurs criticize the multitude of bureaucratic requirements that increase their personnel costs, reduce their reaction speed and limit entrepreneurial freedom."
