Auditorias que acrescentam valor (parte V de IV);

E para reforçar a ideia de fazer das auditorias a sistemas de gestão muito mais do que um ritual da verificação da conformidade, este artigo no número de Junho da Harvard Business Review: “The Audit Committee’s New Agenda” assinado por David Sherman, Dennis Carey e Robert Brust, de onde retirei os seguintes extractos:

“Today, their focus is swinging away from Basic compliance and back toward increasing the value of the business.”

“Now that audit teams have endured and mastered the onerous drudgery of public compliance, they can (and need) move on to more critical, and more interesting, business issues – namely, restoring strategy, business development, and risk management to their proper places at the top of the agenda.”

A conformidade é importante mas uma vez assegurado um nível mínimo de conformidade, o valor acrescentado das auditorias de conformidade é muito baixo.
