Os piores do mundo?

À atenção de todos os que acham que os empresários portugueses são os piores do mundo.
.
Recomendamos a leitura de "Does Management Really Work?" publicado na HBR deste mês.
"Are organizations more likely to succeed if they adopt good management practices?
...
To formulate a testable hypothesis for our research effort, we asked whether or not the thousands of organizations we studied adhere to three practices that are generally considered to be the essential elements of good management:
Targets: Does the organization support long-term goals with tough but achievable short-term performance benchmarks?
Incentives: Does the organization reward high performers with promotions and bonuses while retraining or moving underperformers?
Monitoring: Does the organization rigorously collect and analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement?
...
Only 15% of U.S. companies—and fewer than 5% outside the U.S. - scored above a four. More than 30% of U.S. firms and more than 70% in Brazil, China, and India scored a three or lower. These firms fail to collect even the most basic performance data and offer few employee incentives."
Não que eu adira de braços abertos e olhos fechados a tudo o que na América de Harvard possa ser chamado de "good management.
.
As folhas de excel são um mau conselho para um mundo sedento de valor.
.
Os piores do mundo? Nem pensar!!!
