Ele há coisas

Ando a ler um livro chamado Resonate de Nancy Duarte.
.
Esta manhã li um trecho em que Nancy apresenta e disseca o discurso que Reagan proferiu no dia em que o vaivém Challenger explodiu.
.
O discurso termina com:
.
"The crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye, and 'slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God.'"

Nancy comenta "The phrase "touch the face of God" was taken from a poem entitled "High Flight," written by John Magee, an American aviator in WWII..."

Há cerca de meia-hora, por causa de um tweet, fui à procura de livros do autor Robert Quinn e um dos que encontrei e folheei foi "Lift - Becoming A Positive Force in Any Situation" e a abrir o livro encontro:

"On August 18, 1941, Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr. of the Royal Canadian Air Force took a new airplane, the Spitfire  Mk I, on a test flight. Magee had received his wings as a pilot only two months earlier. As he flew the Spitfire up to new heights of 33,000 feet, he felt inspired to write a poem that has now become the official poem of both the Royal Canadian Air Force and the British Royal Air Force. Short films have been created with this poem as a basis. In its entirety or in part, the poem can be found in songs, on headstones, in presidential addresses, in museums, and in eulogies.
Some have even used it as a prayer."

Nunca até hoje tinha sabido deste Magee, e agora... logo a mim que não acredito em coincidências e que acho que todos os acasos são significativos...
